Concierge Psychiatry at PRX Wellness

Proximity Wellness offers concierge psychiatry for patients who prefer simple, transparent pricing and more direct access to their provider.

Instead of charging per visit, we operate on a monthly retainer model. For a flat fee of $129 per month, patients receive ongoing psychiatric care with enhanced access, continuity, and flexibility without surprise bills or rushed appointments.

Our concierge approach allows us to focus on quality care, timely communication, and thoughtful treatment planning, rather than volume-based visits. This model is especially helpful for individuals managing ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, executive dysfunction, or medication management who benefit from consistent support.

At PRX Wellness, he ensures care is accessible, transparent, and supportive from the first point of contact through ongoing treatment.

Together, Florida natives Jamie and Heath Guy founded PRX Wellness to deliver high-quality mental health care through a blended telehealth and in-person psychiatry model. Their combined expertise in clinical psychiatry, military service, law enforcement, and healthcare operations drives a concierge psychiatry approach designed for uninsured and underinsured adults seeking predictable, relationship-based care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I receive prescriptive services after the free consultation?

No. The free consultation is not a medical appointment and prescriptions are not issued during this visit.

The purpose of the consultation is to give you a chance to speak with a mental health professional, explain what you’re experiencing, and learn what types of support or treatment options may be appropriate. Think of it as a starting point to help you understand your options and decide whether you would like to move forward with care.

If it appears that medication management or other treatment may be helpful, we can explain the next steps and how to schedule a full evaluation. Any prescriptions are only considered after a proper medical assessment and when clinically appropriate.

What is concierge psychiatry?

Concierge psychiatry is a care model where patients pay a monthly retainer instead of per-visit fees. This allows for greater access to your provider, more flexibility in scheduling, and ongoing support between visits.  This is a great alternative to insurance for individuals requiring medication assisted services.

How much does concierge psychiatry cost at PRX Wellness?

Our concierge psychiatry service is $129 per month.  Sliding scale rates are available.  Please check with us for eligibility.

What is included in the monthly retainer?

Your monthly retainer includes:

  • Unlimited secure messaging with your provider through our patient portal

  • Up to two virtual visits per month, scheduled at your request

  • Additional visits if clinically required, at no extra charge

  • Ongoing medication management and treatment adjustments

  • Continuity of care without per-visit billing

There are no hidden fees for visits that are clinically necessary.

Are there limits on messaging?

Messaging is unlimited and intended for clinical communication such as medication questions, symptom updates, and treatment-related concerns. While messaging is not a replacement for emergency care, most patients find it significantly reduces the need for urgent or extra visits.

What happens if I need more than two visits in a month?

If your practitioner determines that additional visits are clinically necessary, they are included in your retainer. You will not be charged extra.

Is concierge psychiatry the same as therapy?

No. Concierge psychiatry focuses on psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management. If therapy is recommended, we can help coordinate referrals or discuss integrated care options.

Can I use insurance with concierge psychiatry?

The concierge retainer is a self-pay service and is not billed to insurance. Some patients may choose to submit receipts to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement, but coverage is not guaranteed.

Why does PRX use a concierge model?

We use a concierge model to:

  • Provide better access and responsiveness

  • Reduce rushed appointments

  • Allow time for thoughtful, individualized care

  • Maintain transparent, predictable pricing

This model supports our belief in patients over profits.

Can I cancel my concierge membership?

Of course. Concierge services are billed monthly and can be canceled according to our practice’s cancellation policy. Details are provided during onboarding.

Who is concierge psychiatry best suited for?

Concierge psychiatry is ideal for patients who:

  • Want direct access to their provider

  • Prefer predictable monthly costs

  • Value ongoing support between visits

  • Are managing chronic mental health conditions or ADHD
