Standing for Peace, Respect, and Community Care

The world feels heavy right now. Headlines are filled with conflict, division, and pain. At Proximity Wellness, we want to be clear: Heath and Jamie, along with our entire team, firmly condemn violence and hatred of any kind. There is no place in this world for harming others—physically, emotionally, or otherwise.

We believe every person has the right to express their beliefs, but also the responsibility to do so with respect. Disagreement does not need to lead to harm. Conversation, compassion, and curiosity can coexist even in difficult times.

We also know that the world may never be a universally “safe place.” But that does not mean we are powerless. It is each person’s responsibility to help care for their neighbors, their community, and themselves. When we collectively prioritize compassion, safety, and mental wellness, we create spaces where healing can begin—even if just one relationship or one conversation at a time.

If you are feeling anger, anxiety, or PTSD symptoms—or if you are having thoughts of harming yourself or others—help is available right now:

  • National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Dial 988

  • Veterans Crisis Line: Dial 988 and press 1

  • Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741 to connect with a trained counselor

  • National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): Call 1-800-950-6264 or text “HELPLINE” to 62640

And of course, our team at Proximity Wellness is here to support you through telehealth appointments across Florida. We offer a safe, judgment-free space to process these feelings and create a plan for healing.

Together, we can make our communities a little safer, a little kinder, and a little more hopeful.
